About this event

Every step creates hope.

This September, join people across Australia as we come together for Hike for Hope - One in Five's national fundraising event supporting life-changing mental health research.

Whether you hike anytime, anywhere throughout September or join us at our community hike at Sugarloaf Reservoir on Sunday 13 September 2026, every step you take and every dollar you raise will help fund world-leading research into the prevention, early intervention and treatment of mental illness.

Mental illness affects one in five Australians each year, touching individuals, families, workplaces and communities. Together, we can help change that.

Hike your own trail, gather your friends, family or colleagues, or create a team and take on the challenge together. There are no limits on distance or pace - just a shared commitment to creating hope and making a meaningful difference.

Every step. Every conversation. Every donation. Together, we're walking towards a future where fewer lives are impacted by mental illness.

Register today, start fundraising and help us create hope, one step at a time.
