Missy Higgins

Missy Higgins is a singer/songwriter from Melbourne who was thrust into the limelight in mid-2001 while still at high school. She won the Triple J “Unearthed” demo competition and her song “All For Believing” became one of the station's most requested tracks.

Missy has been a patron of One in Five since 2003 and supports the organisation in their ongoing efforts to fund reseach into mental illness.

In 2005 Missy Higgins performed an intimate concert at The Vanguard on the eve of the Arias to raise money for One in Five. The night was a huge success raising over $35,000 with all proceeds being passed on to the Mental Health Research Institute.

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is an Australian comedian and actor who has appeared in many television drama and comedy series, and in feature films.

Roles include the 1997 film The Castle, The Wog Boy, The Nugget, Take Away, Thunderstruck and the miniseries Changi and False Witness. Between 2004 and 2005 Curry had a regular role in drama series The Secret Life of Us.

In 2007, Curry portrayed Graham Kennedy in The King, a telemovie examining Kennedy's life. Curry won a Silver Logie Award for his performance.

In 2008 Steven Curry appeared on “Are you smarter than a fifth grader?”. While he proved that he wasn’t smarter than a fifth grader, his efforts contributed $50,000 to One in Five.
